DNEWIQ CORP / Service boundaries

Editorial & Publication Design Disclaimer

Last updated: August 11, 2026Editorial & publication design

On this page

DNEWIQ organizes the visual presentation of supplied content. Text verification, rights clearance, printing and publication are separate responsibilities unless the written project scope expressly includes them.

01. The nature of the services

DNEWIQ CORP provides visual design services for editorial and publication materials. The work may include multi-page layouts, the hierarchy of headings and body text, reusable publication templates, modular grids and composition specifications. These services concern how content is arranged, read and carried through a publication. They do not automatically include every task needed to create, approve, manufacture or distribute the underlying material.

The accepted proposal defines the tasks included in a particular project. A broad service name is not a promise to perform an unlisted task. Before work begins, identify the publication's destination, content status, technical requirements and any additional expertise it needs. DNEWIQ should clarify a requested task that falls outside the agreed scope before accepting responsibility for it.

02. Text, accuracy and subject-matter review

Unless expressly included, design work does not include writing, substantive editing, copyediting, proofreading, translation, fact-checking or verification of quotations, figures and sources. A designer may notice a possible issue during layout, but that observation does not replace a complete editorial review. The client remains responsible for supplying approved text and arranging the review appropriate to its subject.

Names, dates, contact details, numerical data, references and mandatory statements should be checked in the final proof. Specialized content, including legal, medical, financial or technical material, may require review by an appropriately qualified person. A well-designed page does not establish that the statements printed on it are accurate, lawful or suitable for a particular reader.

03. Rights and permissions

The client is responsible for the authority to use supplied text, images, illustrations, trademarks and other content. Relevant permissions may include publication rights, model or property permissions, credit requirements and limits on territory, medium or edition. DNEWIQ does not automatically perform a rights-clearance investigation or certify that every supplied asset is free of restrictions.

Typeface and stock-asset licenses can have separate rules for use, embedding, transfer and the number of users. Possessing a file is not proof that a particular use is licensed. The proposal should identify who purchases a required license and which party will hold it. DNEWIQ can grant only rights it owns; it cannot assign a third-party font or image license beyond the permission actually available.

04. Design systems and creative protection

A grid, type hierarchy or page convention can improve consistency without necessarily being exclusive or separately protected by copyright. This service does not guarantee that a general layout structure is legally unique, that no other publication uses a similar convention, or that every visual decision can be registered as intellectual property.

Rights in original project-specific work are stated in the written agreement, including any assignment or license and the condition for its effectiveness. A transfer of copyright, where intended, must meet applicable legal requirements. Pre-existing tools, reusable methods, third-party components and client-supplied material should be distinguished from newly created final design. Ask for that distinction before the handoff if ownership is central to the project.

05. Digital files and software

Editable files depend on the agreed software, version, fonts and linked assets. A file made for one application is not automatically fully editable in every other application. The required editing environment should be identified before template or source-file work begins. A PDF may preserve appearance while offering a different level of editability than the original layout document.

The client should keep a copy of delivered files and the licenses needed to open and use them. A future software update, missing font, changed image link or modification by another person can alter the layout. Ongoing migration, technical support, backup hosting or maintenance is not included unless agreed. If a particular export profile, package structure or compatibility test is required, include it in the deliverables.

06. Print preparation and physical results

Print-ready preparation is performed only to the extent specified in the proposal and based on the printer requirements supplied. Relevant details may include trim size, bleed, binding, paper, color profile, image resolution and export settings. A general layout service does not automatically include liaison with a printer, press attendance, physical proofing, manufacture or shipping.

A screen cannot guarantee the appearance of ink on a chosen paper under every production condition. A final printer proof or production check should be obtained where appropriate before committing to a print run. The printer is responsible for its production processes, and the client should confirm the specifications it accepts. This allocation does not remove DNEWIQ's responsibility to follow the output instructions expressly included in its own scope.

07. Digital publication and accessibility

A visually readable publication is not automatically an accessible digital document. Tagged PDF structure, reading order, alternative text, accessible tables, form fields and assistive-technology testing can require additional work and should be stated explicitly when needed. The website's Accessibility Statement concerns this website; it does not certify every commissioned publication.

Likewise, a layout file is not automatically an approved upload for every digital publishing system. Platform validation, metadata, document conversion, interactive features, hosting and distribution are separate requirements unless included. If a publication must satisfy an institutional standard or legal requirement, provide the standard and agree the scope of review before work begins.

08. Approvals and later changes

The client should review the presented version for content, image selection, page order and the intended use before giving final approval. Approval should identify the version clearly. A later replacement image, text rewrite, change in page size or change in printer specifications may require a new review and additional layout work. The implications should be agreed before that work is performed.

DNEWIQ cannot control changes made to the delivered files by the client, another designer, a printer or a publishing platform. If a concern is traced to an error in DNEWIQ's agreed work, it should be considered under the service agreement rather than dismissed solely because a file was delivered. Mandatory rights and remedies are not excluded by this disclaimer.

09. Website imagery and results

The publication objects and page materials used in this website's imagery are conceptual illustrations of editorial structure and design. They are not shown as completed client commissions or evidence of previous commercial results. DNEWIQ was established on August 11, 2026, and the website does not claim a history of completed projects or client testimonials.

Design can support clarity and consistency, but no particular revenue, audience growth, publication acceptance, search ranking, award or reader response is guaranteed. Those outcomes depend on content, distribution, audience, production and many decisions outside the design scope. The company's commitments concern the agreed services and deliverables, rather than a promised market outcome.

10. Clarifying a requirement

If your publication requires editing, rights clearance, specialized accessibility, printer coordination or a particular digital workflow, describe that requirement during the brief. The parties should decide whether it can be included, needs a separate scope or must be performed by another qualified provider. An important requirement should not be left to an assumption based on a general service description.

This disclaimer explains service boundaries; it is not a waiver of DNEWIQ's agreed duties or liability that applicable law does not allow to be waived. For a project-specific question, include the publication type, destination and relevant specification when contacting the company. The contact details below can be used to clarify the service before an agreement is accepted.
